In the Cadence app
- Chronotype quiz responses (e.g., natural sleep/wake preferences)
- Festival dates and configuration
- Sleep and wake time preferences
- Mood check-in responses
- Notification interaction data (whether you opened or dismissed a notification)
- Device information required for push notifications (device token, OS version)
- Anonymous usage analytics (screen views, feature usage — see "Third Parties" below)
How We Use It
- To generate your personalized circadian adjustment plan
- To send you timed push notifications aligned with your plan
- To track your recovery progress through mood check-ins
- To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymous usage patterns
- To send you the Festival Sleep Survival Guide (if you submitted your email)
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties
- We do not serve advertisements or use advertising trackers
- We do not share your individual data with third parties for their marketing purposes
Data Storage
- App data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Your plan, quiz responses, mood check-ins, and preferences never leave your phone unless you explicitly choose to share them.
- Email addresses submitted through this website are stored by Netlify (our hosting provider) via their Forms service.
- Cadence does not use cloud sync. There is no account system and no server-side storage of your personal data.
Third Parties
- Netlify — Hosts this website and processes form submissions. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- PostHog — Anonymous product analytics with opt-out support in the app's settings. No personally identifiable information is sent. See PostHog's privacy policy.
- Expo / Apple / Google — Push notification delivery infrastructure. Device tokens are used solely for delivering your plan notifications.
Your Rights
- Email deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your email address from our records.
- App data deletion: All app data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app or using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings permanently deletes all your data. No server-side action is needed.
- Analytics opt-out: You can disable anonymous analytics in the app's Settings screen.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
